MLS/ realcomp without becoming a Realtor?

Is there any way to get on realcomp or the mls and check through expired listings and comps without being a sponsored or licensed realtor?
Thanks!

Answer:
Now if you and everybody El's had a way to look at the MLS they would not of been able to of short the market and make this now breaking bubble. In fact the Realtors are such sharks they even shorted the market even more by holding back on the MLS the there peers. Even shorting the market more and cause a butch of hype the getting investors to jump in and create even more of a demand based on bad information and at the same time pumping up the bubble even more.
Check out this web site, http://www.breakingbubble.com/index.htm.

And to make the point just look at Karen R post does that sound like an open and fare market that is fully disclosed.
No. If you are not a member you have no right to the data.
Let me ask you this: Would you want the general public able to look through and get all the information on your listing? Especially after the fact? Times you'll be home, etcetera?

There's a couple of lawsuits going on right now over companies abusing their MLS access in precisely this fashion. Assuming the cases are resolved in accordance with precedent, those companies can expect major liabilities when they lose the case.

Some non-agents, like appraisers, have a legitimate need for access, and there's always the restraint of trade suits. But those precedents only go so far. There are sharp limits on what data the courts have said non-members are entitled to in restraint of trade issues.
