Looking for rental HUD housing for mother in Arizona or Nevada?

Mother wants to moved to Arizona or Nevada and is looking for Hud Housing for Seniors who will accept animals. If not sure, could you tell me where I might go to check for answers?

Answers:
I now live in Nevada and used to live in Arizona. I do know all about both states if you need any help in choosing a town or city.
Most of the bigger cities have Hud housing or Senior Housing (low cost). But the waiting lists are huge. I know people that have been on the list for 3 years.
It is not easy to get in but many do allow one small animal. You can contact Senior Citizen Centers in the area you wish to live and they can connect you.
Another avenue may be to contact the City Housing Authority in each city you are thinking about. If you are looking on the internet, search the city and senior housing and see what comes up.
I live in Carson City and it is a great place for Seniors. I would say over half of our population is seniors. Best to stay away from Las Vegas. Many Seniors moved there and now hate it and they are stuck there. It is too Hot, too congested, and crime is high. The same is true of Phoenix and Tucson.

Good Luck
got to www.hudhomes.com and click on the state that you want it in and it should be there.
