I complained about repairs that needed done in my apt. and now they are?

asking me to move out because of "the extensive work " that needs to be done, . . because I was on a month to month. Man this sucks. So now I have to tell them that oh it really doesn't matter that much , and I don't care if they make the repairs. I was just bombarding them with the things I had just been living with as is for months becaus e they sent out a notice that the pet deposit was gonna increase for new lease signers . . . I had forgotten that being on month to month they could boot me out anytime eith a 30 day notice so I became a real b*tch because I felt extorted for money all the time. But now F*CK, . . .I have to look for another place or kiss their *ss and hope they'll void the 30 day notice they gave me. Gosh, that s*cks. And you?

Answer:
You aren't stuck.

Don't move and when they take you to court as a holdover tenant, show the Judge photos and copies of everything to prove that this is a retaliatory eviction.

If you can prove your case, the Judge will let you stay and order them to make the repairs.
Life is rough for the cruel and the wicked.
Maybe next time you rent an apartment you will find one that is in good repair. If you were a good tenant, they would have found you another place to go. Looks like they are just glad to get rid of you.
As a landlord, I have to totally agree with their strategy. I will do everything legally possible to remove a tenant if they are complaining all the time.

In the future I suggest you start with writing a letter to the landlord with specifics and then ask if you can arrange a meeting to discuss repairs and time table. If you show that you have concerns about their work load you are more apted to get a better response.
