Affording a home around $200,000?

I'm just curious. What income should someone be pulling in to afford a home at this price? I would really like to own my own house eventually.

Answers:
Roughly 70000-100000. annually. Two to three times your annual income assuming you have good credit.
If you had no other debt at all and one assumed that the property taxes were about $2400 a year, insurance about $30 a month, and you put down 10% you'd pay about $1130 in principal and interest, $200 for taxes, and $30 for insurance and figure about $70 for PMI for a total of $1437
