Do i get my deposit back?

i just moved to england for the summer and had to pay a deposit in addition to the first months rent (equal to the same amount)...after my 3 months are up do i get the original deposit back?

Answers:
Normally you should get your initial deposit back as long as you didn't trash the place.

However if your housemates are jerks & your original short term lease wasn't in writing you may have a problem.

You may have to be extra nice & schmooze them to get your deposit back.

Good luck to you
hmm, what did the landlord say?
what would the law say?
if the deposit was for their safety, they should have to.
if you did not break anything or so!
What was your agreement? Hopefully you have it in writting. Most landlords hold it until the lease is up to cover any potential damage (and in some cases cleanup).
