What Do You Think About This?
Answers:
Somethings Judge Judy like is to straighten out things and people that are crooked a little bit. Gather all your documentations, receipts, eviction notice, anything that harmed you while being evicted, police report, and bring this to the court. If you have all the proof that could clear you up, that's it.
What about your deposit - did it go back to you? Watch out! If they are suspecting you for illegal matters in your apartment, make sure you can prove that there's nothing like that there. And think back, before you fight them back, because suspicions are new to you but always the final actions of the suspecting people. You just have to try applying for other apartment - that's how you will know. Each case is different.
When approaching another landlord explain the situation in earnest. The good landlord will listen and give you a chance.
depends on how long ago this eviction was. usually stays on ur record for 7 years until you contact creditors to relinquish it from ur name. i would not be moving anywhere that people will run ur credit bc it might default you or you might have to pay 3 months security. if u can move someowhere with out a credit check and get ur cuirrent landlord to give u a letter stating ur a good tenant u might be able to avoid the whole viction on ur record and be able to move out to a bigger place. good luck!
The first question needs to be why didn't you fight this landlord for your security deposit and possibly a retaliatory eviction?Depending on where you live, a landlord may be required to give you notice in writing, in person, or by certified mail. The only exception is in the event of an emergency. Many "wear and tear" items such as carpet and paint cannot be withheld from a tenant's security deposit after 3 years.
But, what's done is done and now you have this situation. Unfortunately, you're stuck with this. The only thing you can really do is contact the credit bureaus and try to contest this entry. When applying for another place to live, explain that you weren't aware of the laws surrounding illegal evictions and other landlord/tenant stipulations and hope for the best.
