Once your bankruptcy is final, you can own a home. The hardest part is going to be finding a lender that is not going to penalize you for the bankruptcy. It will stay on your credit for quite some time, and it will be extremely hard immediately afterwards to get a home loan, or one with a decent rate. Best of luck to you!
There lots of loans availbe even after bankruptcy. You may pay a bit higher interest than a non-bankruptcy but you are not throwing away your money while renting. Its a great way to get your credit back on track. Pay the loan on time and you can refinance to lower the rate. What state are you in?
