How do i ask for a summary judgement in court with out a lawyer?

Answer:
In the court I needed to use in MA, the judge was patient to a point to a plantiff who wanted to represent themselves. If it's a complicated case, however, I would not attempt it without an attorney.
First it depends on the State and County where you live; second, it depends on the amount owed. Normally any amount over $10,000 would have to be filed in a Circuit Court and you would have to hire legal counsel. However, most lawyers will take your case on a contingent basis and you only pay them if you collect. If the amount is less - then you can go to the Justice Court Office, file your Complaint, the Sheriff will serve the summons and if the Defendant does not show up - BAM - Default Judgment. Then you have to file a Garnishment against wages or bank account to actually get your $$. Call your local Courthouse - Circuit and ask the clerk what the collection limit is.
