Contact a realtor in your area from realtor.com. Usually land sells a lot slower than a house with land, and the reason it does is that in order to get a loan most places won't lend to you unless there is a house on it. Anyway, the realtor will have a whole long list of land that's available (it's probably been on her list 10 years or longer) and can share that with you for free (ask for a printout). If you need more info, then go out and look for land you like then either call the tax collector's office and ask them who owns that land and then contact that person, or ask the realtor to do that for you.
