Restoring historic building/ need help with cost?

I have a large bank barn on my property. The upkeep of the property is an ongoing cost. I find that our barn is to the point where it needs help soon or it will fall. Does money ever fall from the sky through the gift of an annonymous giver? Already have home equity loan. Any ideas or generous people? I know this is a long shot yet a serious question.

Dear Pet sitter Joy:

If this is a historic building, you may want to consider contacting
you local Historic Society. They may be able to help you obtain funding for restoring the building.

Hope this helps!

I don't know. maybe you can find someone in the same situation who wants rid of their wood..you can use it on your own to fix it.If you do find someone generous.give them my number LOL
Well unfortunatly I don't give money to strangers, but you could try the state lottery.

Other than that . . . Most barns I see are already falling apart (unless there really close to the farm house), so if it's not vital/functional to keep and its far from the house just let it go.

But I suppose if you really are into historical stuff, your best bet is to save money!
