If I purchased property in La. over 10 years ago without mineral rights, what do I do to reclaim them now?

Answers:
Find out who owns them and offer to purchase them from the owner. Your local tax assessor might be a good starting point for determining the owner.

In most states where mineral rights can be sold separately from the property, the mineral rights were probably sold off long ago.
Talk to an attorney locally. He can best advise you on what to do.
