What does it mean when a home or homesite is uplatted?
Answer:
It means it is not mapped out yet with the county as to roads and other structures.
It means there is no official county land map (plat) depicting the property, it's boundaries, etcetera.
Unplatted land is simply un-subdivided property that hasn't undergone surveying to include roads, easements, homesites, etc. If land is unplatted then the size of the lot and exact location of property lines are determined by a metes and bounds survey.
