Any good ideas on staging a house to sell quickly?
Answer:
Clear out any "clutter". You want it to look almost like a hotel suite would. People coming in need to be able to easily visualize their own "stuff" in there, and that's hard with a lot of someone else's "stuff"obstructing the view. Very few, if any personal pictures. No knick knacks. Take all pictures and magnets off your fridge. You want to arrange the furniture to make the rooms look as spacious as possible. There are a couple of shows on TV that talk about the kinds of things to do. One is called "Design to Sell" and the other is called "Sell This House." They're pretty good to watch. Sometimes they go a little overboard--tearing down walls and stuff--but they're good to get ideas from.

Price it right, it will sell.
Priced too high, dog&pony shows won't help much.
Make sure the rooms appear larger by removing any furniture that isn't necessary. Put away any clutter.
Obviously, you don't have time to paint your entire house, but make sure paint is fresh, wiping down walls can really make a big difference.
Make sure your closets are clean and not cluttered. Storage is a huge issue when looking at houses and if your closets are jam packed they look small.
Make sure your lawn is in good shape and any gardens are weeded and neat.
Good luck!
Unless your home is worth a million - stagin it is really not worth it.
Here's some general guideline of things to do : (maybe)
