I filed bankruptcy last year, I am a single mother, who needs to buy a home.?

I sold some property, they paid off the existing loan and I financed the rest for $628.00 monthly at 8% for 5 years. This is all I have, I am only working part-time. I need a home for my children, I do not want to waste the money on rent. Is there any grants for me or any assistance available for me in Oklahoma

Answer:
Try calling a realtor, they will know about possible grants in your area. My town gives $100,000 to local residents buying their first home as long as it is in within city limits.
Good luck Hon, I wish you the best.
Considering that the average 2 income household can't afford a house, what makes you so special?
The only way you can maybe make this work is to try Habitat for Humanity. If there were grants or assistance for everyone in Oklahoma in financial trouble, we would all get them!
The answer is yes not only from Oklahoma but from the US Government and private foundations unfortunately I would give you the government links from our research files that the State of Oklahoma and the US government has provided to the public answering your question but yahoo answers says that providing links with the proper answers to questions is spamming and using the source of where those links come from is advertising and they rather just have written answers from sources that are not qualified to provide such answers. So if you want the links you'll have to email me. Here is Yahoo Answer's letter to me:
