Where can I find a house (or a room) for a temporary work in UK?
I'm not searching for an Estate Agency, but something different, don't know if you can undesrtand me...

try www.rightmove.co.uk they have listings for properties all over the UK, they also give the names and phone numbers of letting agencies.
you could also try www.yell.com and search for letting agencies in your chosen area.
Obviously it depends on where you want to work as to what you will pay. If you want London be prepared to pay. Also be prepared to pay a month's rent in advance and a month's rent as deposit (returned when you hand the keys back). Many letting agencies also charge which can be anything up to £100.
A typical flat outside London will cost you £400+ a month
