I had a one year contract to rent a house, I fulfilled the contract.?
Answer:
depends what your contracts states. it may have a clause that requires you to gice a 30 notice to vacate. if it does not then he does not a legal case but since he is taking you to court the contract probaby requires notification.
If you didn't give hime 30 day notice you owe him for one months rent since you were on month to month.
It depends on the state you live in. Most states you are still required to give a 30 day notice.
if your contract is over it doesnt mean that you can just leave. Most States require a 30 day notice. In our leases it states something to the effect of: after (date) contract will continue on as a month to month status untill a 30 day notice is submitted by either party.
so yeup he has Acres and Acres of grounds.
sorry.
YES! He does. When you fulfill a one year lease and go month to month, you have to give a 30 day move out notice. That is what a month to month is. If your landlord wanted you out, same thing after one year, he would give you 30 days to secure other housing.
I am sure it states that in your one year lease that you signed. I agree that it should be made more clear at the time you sign your initial lease because many people feel like you do and do not understand it....When you give 30 days it is a warning to the landlord to seek other tenants, just as it is the landlord's notice for you to seek other arrangements.
We'll soon find out when the judge rules on it.
You were obligated to give him notice of one month's rental period.
Yes, he has grounds.
Yes he does. Your Lease specifies how much notice you have to give, typically 30 days, some are 60 days.
