That depends. How long do you have before the lease is up? If you can, buy it out. Ask your landlord to allow you to break the lease, and help him/her find a new tenant to take your place, thi sway they don't lose money.
pack all your belongings and move in the middle of the night, dont leave a paper trail and dont fill out a forwarding address card at the post office.DUH
basically, no landlord can make you stay. if you find a qualified tenant to rent your apartment, he can't make you keep your lease. of course he will * about it, but he can't make you stay.
Once you sign a lease, your stuck with that contract. If you break the contract by vacating before the lease term is up, they will charge you the remainer rent for whatever time is left on your lease plus other fees. If you don't pay, they will slap it on your credit report. Some management companies require a 2 month notice but you will still get penalized "X" amount. Your best bet is to read the fine print on your lease and contact management.
