How long should it take to get approved for an apt?

I paid a deposit & rent at an apartment complex but they haven't called back to tell me when to move in, how long should it take? I know its a corporately owned property.

Your move in date should have been given to you the day you paid them unless they are waiting for a credit check which could take about a week. call and ask whats going on.
Why are you paying a deposit and rent when they haven't given you a move-in date? If they are open tomorrow, you need to go back and either get a move-in date or your money back.
it should only take a day possibly two..i would def call them and tell them you want to check the status on your application..(i had to do that bc they forgot about me)
Here they charge you for a background check. You should know in 10 days. I have a recent background check card and they still charged me and I had to wait.
