Who can I rent from when I have a recent eviction?

Answer:
Depends why you were evicted.

You will probably need a roomate to go in with you that has a good rent history.

Or a parent to cosign and a forgiving new landlord.
That you were recently evicted is no one's business.

However, consider carefully what you can pay for rent and what you need to do to avoid paying rent late.

Then, rent a place from a private homeowner, and give the person good references.

Pay early. Pay ontime. Work to rebuild your habits. Why?

Because we all need you to be able to stand on your own two feet.

You don't say why you were evicted or if it was due to any fault of your own. Either way, we all fall on hard times. I would play the sympathy card and find a "mom and pop" type of rent. Someone who might be willing to give someone a second chance. These types of rents usually require references but for the most part usually go with their gut instincts once they meet you. Good Luck!
Not Me ;) But seriously. You may wnat to consider moving in with a family member for year or so and pay them rent. If you do right by them they can provide a ligitmate "good" reference for you. I did this for my in laws and they have rented a nice home in our community.

Always remember, the house note and utilities must be your first priorty. Even before your other bill collectors. Good luck.
It depends why you were evicted? There are times that I have went ahead and rented to a tenant which ended up being very good. Some times things happen and if it wasn't a real big issue of why you were evicted I look at other things with that person. Just be up front and honest with were ever you are going to move you will find it will get you a long way. Lots of luck...
