Well, you don't want your home tied up with this bozo any longer than necessary. Hit them with a Notice to Perform, and read your contract for your options. There's a good chance you can keep the deposit and go on your merry way in the search for other buyers.
Failure to promptly apply for a loan is a default, if the contract requires the buyer to do so. Read your contract for seller's remedy if buyer defaults.
all you need to do is redraw docs. put the new date on it, and your good to go.
