Where can I find a summary of average monthly outgoings for a two bedroomed house? Preferably in East Yorks?

I'm currently trying to budget to see if I can afford to buy my first house. I'm looking for the average monthly outgoings (water, electricity, gas, telephone, council tax, insurance, etc) for a two bedroomed house, to see if I can afford to pay for all of these plus mortgage repayments.

Answer:
for the council tax - ring the council (but remember if you are buying on your own you get 25% single person allowance off your council tax)
water - I pay £22 per month
gas and electric - budget around £40 (thats for both)
telephone - thats up to you BT line rental is normally £10 approx.
insurance - just ring and get a quote or do it online.
Don't forget your tv licence - £10 per month
or your life insurance - get quote online

Good luck x x x
