i dunno much about legalities, leave alone the legalities in u'r country !
if i had the slightest of doubts about any transaction, especially a major one involving purchase of property, i'd put my banker to work.
i would buy it through my bank . that way my money (hey its hard earned) is 100 % safe !
any element of fraud is covered by the bank, the bank suffers
& i know one thing, banks are the last to suffer
