Bankruptcy is the worse thing you can file. They look at your past payment history and to be quite frank, yours suck. What I had to do is to borrow from the bank and put my savings account up for security. If I defaulted on the loan the bank would then take the money from my savings account. Once the loan was paid off, I started to rebuild my credit. I had four loans and paid off the four loans before anyone else would give me credit. Sorry.
Go declare bankruptcy. Hire an attorney and file. It will save your car and your house. Not a miracle but your credit score will go up. Depending on your debt it may cost $1,000.00 but will ease your situation. Many people have been there.

Have you looked into refinancing your home? If you have a good bit of equity in it, you should be able to get approved even if you have a low fico score.
You need to get the book "Financial Peace" by Dave Ramsey. This book seriously changed my life. It is easy and do-able for almost anyone. I went from paycheck to paycheck, not always getting by. I now have paid off $15,000.00, have a nice nest egg in my savings and when I retire I will live off the intrest my IRA produces. Go get the book!
