After Just excepting a mortgage is it not a good time to apply for other finance or is it still OK to apply?

Im looking to swap my credit card because the 0% interest is soon to expire. I want to get another card and and swap over the balance and cancel the old one. It is mt only credit card. I have just taken on a mortgage as well?

Answer:
It would be best to hold off on any other credit or financing applications until after the mortage is final. Once it is a done deal, the money is paid out and the closing is done, you are good to go.

However, applying for additional credit could affect your credit score, which COULD cause your lender to change their mind about loaning you the money.

Best Bet: Wait until after closing.
It depends whether you had problems getting a mortgage in the first place too many credit applications cause your credit score to plumit. Wait a few weeks first
You should wait until you have proved you can pay your existing debts before taking on others!
you wont know until you apply
the more credit you have the easier it is to get, i dont think you would have any problems changing your cards.
just make sure the offer is as good as you think it is!
If your mortgage is in place and you have completed and are now paying your new lender then go ahead,
