12 months subscription?
Answer:
They probably can sue u for breach of contract..
I would'nt just stop paying cos it would effect your credit rating and any future financial matters ( loans etc. )
Chk with the Citizens Advice Bureau they can help u to draft a letter to the company maybe they might allow u to terminate the contract but u might have to pay a penalty charge.
Good luck
Okay, I have no idea what a 3G Data Card is but remember you, yourself signed for the service for twelve months and that means all terms apply for the twleve months association that you have legally pledged. The best you can do is to write to the company giving your reasons in mitigation and just hope that they are persuaded to see your side. If not, I'm afraid that you are stuck with paying for twelve months. But that's financial life! Good luck!
Of course they can,you signed for a 12 month contract !
essentially, you take 12 months payment, add them up, and this is the cost. The company let you spread this over 12 months.
The companies minimum service, is for 12 months. You dont have to buy, but you did.you bought twelve months service.
That means, use it or not, you pay for 12 months, as agreed.
They let you spread this monthly, (to get peoples business) but its Your direct debit. You are at liberty to cancell it, though you still owe them a financial shortfall, on the paid and agreed amount.
Cancell the direct debit, its your right. They will write to you separatly regarding the rest of payment, now payable in a one off lump sum.
Pay this, with a cheque, and letter, critisising thier service, if necessary, or write/email them first, telling them of the cancell, and requestin final details.
You are obliged to pay the remaining months, in financial terms, its a contract.
Its a shame companies like this, dont literally spell it out, your financial obligations.instead of THEIR salesman, emphasising low monthly payments..its a one off, 12 month service your BUYING..spread over 12 months of payment, to get the sale!!
It isnt £20 month...Its..£240 of obligation! THEY should make this clearer..especially to people only JUST old enogh to enter a contract!!
I would say no, they can't sue you but also make the request in writing and notify your bank not to pay the items any further. Do those both and you got it.
yes they can. You signed a twelve month contract and a contract is legal and binding. The only thing you can do is buy yourself out, in other words pay the rest of the twelve month charges.
Although saying that it would probably cost them more then your twelve month fees to sue you.
