Thats too vague to answer without making assumptions about you. Making the assumptions on what you consider to be good, I would say you need to be earning at least £30k a year.
20k be cool!
30000 per annum
You can get a room in a shared house for £80 per week if on a budget. A two bed flat well placed would be £250 per week. Beer costs £2.50 - £3.50 per pint, Wine in a restaurant is going to start at £15 and a meal out for 2 with wine will not be less than £50. Sports clubs start at £40 per month for a gym and the average 3 bed house price seems to be over £250K.
Good luck, whatever you earn I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Lots of people earn £30K and we're made to feel like we should be greatful for it. Quite frankly it doesn't go very far so push for more if you're negotiating!
I think anything under £30k is out of the question. Even at £30k, you would not save any money.
