How does social security split benefits between the children of the disabled?

I have applied for social security benefits because of a malformation inside of my brain, I have had brain surgery, and no longer able to work. I have worked since I was 13 years old not asking you guys how much I would get but, does anyone know how they would split the benefits between my children (e.g. half )of what I get if anyone knows it would be a big help, this is all new to me and would like to know what exactly we would be dealing with.

Answer:
The majority is for you and you get extra for each child under the age of 18 or 22 if still in school. Since you will be on SSI and not SS till 62, you will be entitled to what state health plan you state has for the indigent and foof stamps.you can also apply for fuel assistance. Just keep asking question of your service worker at SS office.
no good
you will get a check for each child under the age of 18. these payments cease when they reach 18. they get no more payments after 18 even if they go to college. unless they are also have a disability of some sort. i do not know the exact % they will each get, it also depends upon who much you will get. also, your spouse will also get a payments if there are any children under the age of 16. this payment for him ceases when the youngest child reaches 16. God Bless
