Bank of Hawaii overdraft charges?
Answers:
You need to get all of your information together, including your accidental withdrawal of money you didn't have. Admit to screwing up and take ownership of one of the NSF fees, but ask them to remove the remainder. They should be able to explain why they allowed you to withdrawal money from the ATM that you didn't have and then charge you all of the NSF fees.
In the end, they should refund most if not all of the NSF fees (if this was your first mistake).
Next, try to get an overdraft line of credit for your checking account. This will allow you to temporarily overdraw your account by extending you a line of credit. Once you have the funds available, pay off the LOC right away. I have done this for years and have paid minimal interest on the LOC but have saved hundreds in NSF fees. Ask for a small line to begin with; something in the range to $200 should be good. A good estimate to use is 1/2 of your payroll.

I am not sure where you are from (assuming Hawaii) but once you get this cleared up i would say that a credit union would be something to consider. Typically better rates and friendlier people since the members are owners...But i would personally go to the bank and if they refuse to talk to you then i would file a complain with the CEO and the Better Business Bureau
