Could several families buy electricty as a buying group in the UK?

What you could do is buy the stuff you need to generate electricty like solar panels and a wood fired generator, the wood used is fast growing and makes the burner carbon neutral, any left-over electricity you can then sell to your local power supplier.
u could but several thousand wouldnt give you a 1% reduction anyways,also if you would be interested in setting up a conglomerate if would be happy to join for reduced energy costs.
I don't think so but is a good idea.
