if someone wanted to give me a huge amount of money- how much info would they need about me? if say- they just picked my name out of a phone book and they was a millionaire and they wanted to give it all to me. is a name and address enough for them to give me a free will donation, and have me as the beneficiary?

I think you had received a scam mail. Be extra careful. This is another scam

Even if they just give you money which I doubt is what is going to happen but they need to declare it on taxes and you would have to pay tax on gfts over the gift tax minimum.. used to $10k per year don't know if it changed though..
