A friend borrowed $1000.00 three mths. ago during a cruise & u haven't heard from her since what would u do?

She have to kids to say she isn't home, don't answer the door, nor return call from her desk clerk. Do you report her to COPS, or bang her head in when you see her or jus let it ride Please HELP!!!

Answer:
Call the cops and file a report. Then take it to court. If that doesn't work them take one of her kids till she give u the money.
dont take the law into your own hands; take em to court!
Get new friend. If you don't have it in writing you are screwed, leave her alone or she'll probably get a harrassment order against you.

Never loan money.
Take her to court or write it off.
do you have a promissory note from her stating that she borrowed the money??

if you have proof she borrowed money then you can take her to small claims court

don't call the cops, cuz they can't help you..
Find the douche and beat the ** out of her until you get your money, but if your not like that ..than your screwed..goodluck
Basically whenever I loan money to friend I consider it as a total loss and they probably won't pay it back. So i never loan more than I can afford. I think you have to take it in the pooper on this one.
I assume that you did not get this in writing.

If you did, then take her to small claims court, and you will win.

If not, you could try to take her to small claims court, and if she denies it, you are screwed, Her word against yours,

If she admits it, you should win.

Good Luck
i would call the cops she might pay you back when i dont know i would have all ready paid you back good luck hun
tell the funny * bimbo to * up ur money or your gonna smash her face in
go ask her in person what's going on. maybe she's in trouble or she's short of money. if she just DOESN'T want to return the money because of greediness, then go bang her head in.
Just let it ride.
Email her, call her nonstop, any way of contact you have. Go to her house, send her mail, and threaten to go to the police if she doesn't pay you back. Obviously she's no a good enough friend so dont ever let her borrow money again. Good Luck and hope you get your money back!!
Being violent and threatening is not a good idea, and you won't get paid that way.

You could go to small claims court and ask for a judgement against her and garnish her wages.

Or, you could write it off, and learn from the experience: it's best to not loan money to family or friends. Basically, you paid $1000 for your education on this matter.
She is no friend, but an enemy..Find her, get her butt to court, sue the crap out of her, win your case, and then don't even think about her.. just forget she ever existed in the first place! >:(
Send her a letter indicating what was said when she borrowed it, the date, the amount borrowed, how it was borrowed (cash, check?), what the situation was, make mention that you tried to phone her and the dates you tried and who you spoke with, and then make yourself a copy of the letter.send the letter by certified mail return receipt (with green card on the back of the envelope).

If she doesn't respond, send it again (same letter but add a new date to it), send it again certified mail return receipt (with green card on the back of the envelope).

If she doesn't respond, send it a third time, same way.

She should be responding to any one of those.

If you don't get results after the third letter you sent certified mail return receipt, then take it to Small Claims Court and get a judgment against her. You can do this yourself without an attorney. Call the Clerk of Courts at your courthouse and tell them you want to take her to court, she owes you $1,000 and you wanted to get a judgment against her and ask them to send you the paperwork so you can file this yourself..then fill out the forms, send to the court with the filing fee that they ask, ask in the paperwork for recovery of your filing fee and costs, and any attorney that you have to hire.

She will be called into court to state her case and pay you or set up a payment plan. If you get no money then you can file the Judge's Order for about $15 against her and that goes on her credit report. She must pay you within reasonable time, you can have her paycheck garnished..or you can make her sell her house, her car, her boat or anything else she owns in order to pay you back (but you have to do this thru an attorney as there are a few steps they will need to take for you..but, your attorney fees will be paid by her). Good luck.
I would say learn from this. Don't lend money to friend unless in your heart you can consider it a gift and not expect it back. People don't borrow money unless the don't have money and need it. If she didn't have the money then what makes you think it will be so easy for her to have the money now to pay you back. I'm sure she wanted to give you back the money but then life happens and expenses come and she just doesn't have it. She probably doesn't answer the phone because she is embarrassed because she does not have it. If you really want it and need it then take her to court. But then it's still hard to collect even if you get a verdict in your favor.
You had a $1000 dollars to give away on a cruise and your thinking about being upset? Most people in the world could live for years off that kind of money. Your friend is probably in trouble and needs your help so if you were willing to offer them 1000 why not go the extra mile and slip 500 or something under there door with a note saying theres more where that came from if only we can have a friendship back. Friendship is worth all the money in the world so dont sell yourself cheap plz for hearts sake.
If you need the money, you can talk to her family to guilt her into paying for it, or you can send a registered letter to her demanding payment of the money. This will help if she never pays you back to deduct it off your taxes. It will also help if you take her to small claims court. If she works you could reach her there. If she is married you can go after the husband. I assume the kids have to go to school. Ambush her then. It's up to you. How badly do you want the money.
the best thing you can do is take her to court, If that does not work , write it of as a donation on your tax return
