I'm a new seller on eBay, I need some help here!?
I don't want to cheat anyone, or make a big profit. I just want to sell it at my expected price.
Oh, I hate auctions!
Answer:
Well, then you should set a reserved price. Don't think you can boost your price up unless you're cheating; however, you can easily get caught by Ebay. A lot of people always wait for the last minute for a steal.
most of the bidding goes on during the last hour that the item is listed - but just because u have watchers doesn't mean they will bid - sometimes i watch items because i have one like it and want to see what it is selling for.in general i think these people that buy on e-bay are nuts and pay way to much for things.
I sell on eBay from time to time now too. I use to sell on there quite a bit and one of these days very soon I will be listing some more items again.
Anyway, people will put a watch on items that they are interested in and you never know what they are going to do. I have seen them wait just a couple hours and then put a bid in and I have seen them wait all the way up to the last minute. However, you can't count on them placing a bid on your items either, because until they place a bid and the auction closes they are just looking.
Usually, once they place a bid on an item you can pretty much count on the item being sold, because it's pretty rare that someone will cancel their bid. Mainly because it counts against them when they do that and if they do it too often their account might be suspended.
