it will be our downfall,so much money being thrown about these days is frightening.but what happens if there was a catastrophe on a huge scale?will we brits end up being exposed like new orleans,no money for the poor.
Not really, it is our lust for entitlements. Over 50% of people get significant income from the government. That was a key reason Rome fell, too many handouts. The fall of the US is imminent on our current path: government size increased 40% last 12 years and entitlements increased dramatically as well. People have decided to work less and get more freebies off the government and politicians love this program so the US is in a slow collapse. The falling dollar and trade deficit are clues something is terribly wrong. People in the US no longer want to work to serve others; that's the key problem.
