you might try robbing a few banks. Maybe someone out their will just give you the money 'cuz they feel sorry for you because you are a lazy slug/numbskull.
There are several companies that will help you with down payment assistance to buy your house. There are even a few that have grant to help-not to be confused with a loan that you have to pay back. I live in California and Wachovia Bank (don't know if this is a national bank or not) is offering grants for down payment assistance for qualified buyers. Check with your local lending association or Realtor for possibilities in your area. Good luck!
