Sell your unwanted stuff on Ebay.
Cash in any endowment policies which aren't performing.
Get an evening job doing waitering or bar work.
Get any job you can for the weekend.
When I was strapped for cash I did my day job at an insurance company from 8-5, then went to work in the local post office Sorting Office from 5.30 till 10, on Saturday mornings delivered the post on a bicycle from 6-12am, then went to a local golf club and waitressed at their functions in the afternoon/evening and on Sundays I worked for an agency and took whatever job was going eg working in a grden centre, more waiterssing etc.
It was tough but worth it financially.
Also because all your time is occupied you don't have time to spend money. And if you work in restaurants they feed you as well so you can save even more.

if you have the time for it (weekends) then you can do alot worse than buying in bulk of Ebay, and reselling.
You'd be suprised what you can pick up for next to nothing per item and sell on for a reasonable profit...
Take a look at the Ebay "Wholesale" section, where you can by clothing by the palet load, and sell on individually...(Kids / Womens clothing sells well)
People make whole livings doing this.
