Debt consolidaton companies exist for people who have overextended their credit and will attempt to negotiate affordable payments. IT WILL NEGATIVELY AFFECT YOUR CREDIT. If you can afford your payments you may qualify for a debt consolidation loan throug a Bank, this will not hurt your credit. In this case you will repay 100% of your debts + interest over a longer length of time with lower monthly payments.
Unfortunately, the minute a debt is listed as "consolidated," it will bring down your scores. The only kind that doesn't is consolidation of student loans.
