You can be a part time sales assistant, they might pay you $15 per day
Those who totally has no choice, they will go to work as a part time cleaner or babysitter and will get paid by hour
For those who are really rich, they will choose to invest in stock exchange

Most people do it through credit cards but you'll read their stories about bankruptcy and foreclosures in other questions posted here. Are you planning to die soon and that's why your need is short term and not ongoing? Maybe you can sell things that you no longer want or need. Maybe you can teach people to do things that you can do that either they can't do or don't want to do. Maybe you could ask people for money $1 at a time. To really answer your question I would have to know you better, know your goals, and understand why you don't want to get a job and then quit it without first getting it.
