My US Savings Bonds burned in a fire and I don't have my receipts either. What can I do?

Is there any way I can recover them somehow?

Answers:
Follow this link to the Treasury's website page. There are specific instructions on how to get the certificates replaced, along with a link to a PDF form download.
Have you checked the Treasury Department web site?

They may have advice on this.
If your U.S. Savings Bonds have been destroyed or mutilated, you must obtain Department of Treasury Form PD F 1048 (I) from your bank or www.ustreas.gov and mail to:

Department of the Treasury
Bureau of Public Debt
Saving Bonds Operations
P.O. Box 1328 Parkersburg, WV 26106-1328
I would definitely go with the treasurydirect.gov website to pursue this...it's going to take a little while to get them back, but there should be a form for lost, stolen, or destroyed bond.
