How can I save money?

I am about to get married, and we are trying to buy a house, How can we save money to make sure that we can get throught the month?

Answers:
Automatically transfer money from your checking to savings either weekly or once every two weeks, so that good old Mr. ATM card doesn't have access to it.

That way you can spend what you already allowed yourself to have in your checking, and you know you are heading towards your savings goal at the same time.

Most banks have this option and can set it up for you easily.
Only buy things that you really need.
Dont eat out & take a bag lunch to work. Also try to get all of your errands done for the day in one trip out so that you save money on gas.
I used to put ALL change and dollar bills aside when breaking larger bills. This adds up quicker than what you think. Give up name brand things "Nike-Reynolds-Levis-etc.
a second part time job is also a good start, if you are really serious.
