Will my girlfriend who is now living with me be able to claim any benefits as she is unemployed i am not?

Answers:
Drawing unemployment doesn't have anything to do with where you live so yes, she should be able to claim unless the reason she is unemployed is because she quit a job.
ask the job centre but dont give your name incase she still wants to claim
She should be able to claim job seekers allowance
she can go on job seekers allowance
ditch her
If she has worked in the past and paid her contributions and is looking for work then she should be entitled to support.

There are many opportunities online where she could make money if she put her mind to it. But be careful of the scams as well.

Have a look at this - http://www.ez4u2gowebbusiness.com/report... - there is also over 200 videos with this package. It's very simple and anyone can do it. At the moment it is on trial special offer.
Nope!! you will be expected to support her with your income!!

I asked at my local job centre as my partner and I want to live together propperly (one hme, one rent, instead of two homes and two rents to pay!!) but he would be expected to support me. Hence why I am trying really hard to find a job but gettingf no where fast!!
The key phrase on the application forms is:

"your spouse, or someone you are living with as though you are married"

i.e. you are immediately counted as financially co-dependent if you are living together, regardless of how you actually organise your finances or what agreements you have between you. You could state that you are not living together as partners but as house-mates, but you may well get a home visit to verify your living conditions, so do be careful about doing this unless you are genuinely renting separate rooms and paying your rents separately.

The exception to this would be if your girlfriend has made sufficient National Insurance payments in the past. If she has made (I think) a year's worth of unbroken NI payments in her previous employment then she is entitled to 6 months worth of benefits without this being assessed on anyone or anything else. Hx
She would be able to claim something. she may not be able to claim a full benefit but that always depends. they would probably means test you. so they would want to know how much u earn etc and then her payment would depend on that. thats what they do in ireland anyway.
