Will my girlfriend who is now living with me be able to claim any benefits as she is unemployed i am not?

Answers:
No, unless your income is very low.
Not unless you are on a very low paid job or if you have kids you could claim tax credits.
Apart from that you won't be entitled to anything.
Not really unless you earn so low that both of you need to go to the benefits.

Send her down, but remember she needs to take you last 3 payslips and last years P60. Rent book or mortgage details, Council Tax bill
IT ALL DEPENDS ON WHAT YOU EARN. IF YOU EARN UNDER A CERTAIN AMOUNT EACH YEAR THEN YOU WILL BOTH BE ABLE TO CLAIM. THERE IS WEB SIT E CALLED www.dwp.gov.uk/lifeevent/benef... THIS WILL TELL YOU ALL YOU WILL BE ENTITLED TO.
Of course she can - everyone is entitled to claim benefits, but how much she is entitled to is dependent on your income.
Not unless you are on a low income. She can go to the jobcentre & fill out the forms with your details as well & try! Why doesn't she get a job?
She should be able to claim Job Seekers Allowance (JSA) as that is a personal allowance. Things like Council Tak or Housing Benefit, will depend on your income.
Your Girlfriend needs to call ASAP to register her JSA claim as it starts from when the phone call is made.
Have a look in your yellow pages for the telephone number for your local Job Centre - they will be able to give the main number for her to call to register her claim, she will then receive a load of forms & have an appointment at the Job Centre where the claim will be processed. If the claim is approved, back payment will be made, then she will have to go to the same Job centre every 2 weeks to sign and payment will be made also every 2 weeks to her nominated bank account - dont get too excited though - its only about £55 a week - but depending on which type of JSA ahe is awarded, she may be entitled to other free things - like prescriptions, eye tests, college courses etc.
If kids are involved - I have no idea, but the people who register the claim over the phoen are really helpful & will explain what she is entitled to - Good Luck!
If her National Insurance record is sufficient, she will be able to claim 'contribution based 'Job Seekers' Allowance for 6 months. After 6 months JSA is means-tested, which means that YOUR income is taken into account, and it is unlikely that she will receive anythying whilst she continues to live with you. If she moves into a place of her own, only her circumstances will be taken into account.
you may be able to claim working tax credit for both of you, or she could claim job seekers allowance
