How do i get over my spending money phobia?
Answers:
Work with it: buy only the best you can afford. Then you'll appreciate spending the money for something that will last and serve you well.
you're far better off with that phobia than without.
I know a few people I wouldn't mind them getting that phobia.
If you see something you really want, buy it if you have the money. If you don't really want/need something don't buy it.
some level of frugality is a good thing. The fact that you think before you buy things makes me think you are very level headed. You must rationalize, however, that the reason you work is to be able to buy the things you desire. Hoarding money is very unhealthy and leads to undesirable behaviors. Besides, you earn money to spend it. Once you are dead the money does you absolutely no good.
Get a life, and have fun. Don't go buy something for the heck of it, get something if you know you need it. Also, get a program like Microsoft Money to manage your money. This will show you how much you get from jobs, how much you pay in bills, what you have to by, (like your nessides such as toothpaste), how much you should put into savings, and how much fun money you have. Good luck.
Ask yourself if you would have accepted five pounds or whatever you spend, to feel the way you do. If not it's not worth the worry.
