I want to invest >10K in a high yield account, what do you know about Countrywide's Savingslink program?

Countrywide Bank's website offers a program called SavingsLink that pays 5.25% APY. I am trying to determine if this just as safe as a CD or equivalent with FDIC insured bank. I believe it is, but how can I be sure on all the details.

Answer:
I checked their website (https://bank.countrywide.com/scontent.as. and they are offering a good rate and also saying that it is fdic insured. Read the agreements carefully and you will be fine. Only thing i did'nt like that they have certain service fees in certain cases (ex. if balance falls below certain amount, etc.)

compare other banks too using bankrate.com for rates. I think emigrantdirect also offers same rate and they don;t have any minimum or extra fees drama.

Do some research on respective websites and then choose whatever works best for you.
