What will be the next big growth industry in the high tech market?

In the last 40 years, we have seen the birth of the internet, the mobile phone, the personal computer. Anybody who was savy enough to investment earlier enough in a reputable company has made an absolute killing on the stock market. Stories about the first Dell or Microsoft investors is the stuff of dreams and who wouldn't want to emulate their success: so the question is, what is the bext big thing?

I have hopes in internet broadcasting.

Answer:
Easy: semiconductors.
They are getting smaller and faster and have uses everywhere. The use of semiconductors to help run the home environment is indeed the next big thing.

You will never guess which company is going to begin to make "smart" homes.

Toyota.

Don't say I didn't tell you so.
wireless application,like wi-max
war related markets

Homespun security
prisons
organs

maybe environment.
The next big wave can be seen from where the government has pushed it's spending. That will be in two arenas: Security and energy.

Find a security company that is 'doing the right thing' with technology and there's your rising star.

Likewise, find a company that is using energy, creating energy, or marketing energy in a clever, new way.

My personal opinion is that internet broadcasting will not be the big thing. How do you 'charge' for it? Radio stations do it now as a value-add to their present programming. Major networks are giving away their TV shows. so what would be broadcast in the future that isn't being broadcast today that people would flock to, pay for (subscribe) and tell all their friends about?
many believe it might be nano technology. Others still believe that biotechnology will be big, but they have thought this for over 15 years and only one or two stars have arisen. Amgen and Genentech come to mind.
Wifi/wireless
