1939 Penny with a cut out right at and slightly above the nine. How much is it worth? It was minted that way.?

Answer:
1939 value will depend on the number struck and the condition of the one you have. Occasionally a coin is struck wrong and may have some additional value. A coin dealer or a collectors "blue book" can tell you if the blemish occured at the mint, or not.
take it to a coin dealer and you will have your answer
It is worth almost 2 cents. many came out of the philly mint that way so nothing too special.
worth a cent.there never have been any coins minted with much cut out.ive seen small sections clipped off but this coin has been cut with something larger that a die
IF the penny were in good condition a Denver Mint mark would be worth 45 cents, a San Fransisco Mint mark would be worth 15 cents, and Philidephia Mint mark wuld be worth 10 cents.

Since yours is damaged by a HOLE, it is worth the one cent face value, unless you can find someone who desperately needs that date and doesn't care about the damage, but then they would not be a very educated collector.
it is worth less than a penny if u have not heard they are about to do a way with the penny it is costing them to much to make it so they are doing away with it
