How to buy stocks?
Answers:
Most online brokers require a minimum balance of 500-1000 to open an account. There are a few that require no minimums how ever, I have used Sogoinvest.com before and they seem alright.
Just make sure you spend some time researching the companies you are interested in buying and read up on diversification. Putting all your eggs in one basket can mean a lot of money lost. You might look into purchasing an ETF or Mutual Fund until you feel more comfortable building your own portfolio.
Good luck
sogoinvest.com allows you to invest with $1 commissions that is good if you are investing a small amount of money... I would use finance.yahoo.com to research companies you are interested in
