Where can I find a good entry-level position in finance?

I just finished my degree in Economics. I'm great at sales. Even better at understanding market trends. And I have a passion for the industry. I just need to get my foot in the right door. Any suggestions?

Answer:
Since you ask.

Your question is rather broad, given the vast array of financial products and services. With that said, given that you have an understanding of market trends, a personality well suited to sales, and a degree in Economics - I suggest that you start your own business.

And to be clear, I don't mean any multilevel marketing business - I mean your very own home grown business. Perhaps a newsletter, maybe a consulting business, or something that you see as a possible solution to an obvious problem within the industry.

There are many people with degrees, but showing that you have the initiative to start your own business is uncommon. It will set you apart from the masses of applicants for whatever position you are applying for in your city.

So back to your original question, where can you find a good entry level position? It depends on what type of duties you want to do, and what constitutes a good job for you. Specifically then , what type of work are you truly desiring to do? Other Questions and Answers:
