401-k statement;what does UNIT PRICE mean?

it's not the price of a share,is it?Please explain.

Answer:
Unit price is the equivalent of share price. You are probably technically in a 401(k) variable annuity (is your plan sponsor an insurance company?), and variable annuities offer sub-accounts that mimic mutual funds. Sub-accounts are comprised of units not shares, but they essentially mean the same thing.
It's likely a fund unique to the 401k that is based on a real mutual fund, just like 529 (college savings) accounts. You really can't compare this to anything; all you can use for comparison purposes is its performance.
yes it is

I'm a farmer. I own 700 head of cattle. Each unit is worth $200.

My local guy at the filling station tells me the same thing every time i get some gas for the ol truck. He sells me them gas units for just over $2.
