Is the stock market closed on monday (columbus day)?

Answer:
In the US, they're open.

For exchanges outside the US, I believe they're open too since Columbus day is a US holiday.

In the future, you can also go directly to the exchange and check their calendar (nyse.com, nasdaq.com, amex.com, and so on).

Hope that helps!
In the U S it is open. Banks however are closed.
