What does the ".OB" mean after a stock symbol?

Answer:
.OB means it trades on what is called the "OTC Bulletin Board". These are generally penny stocks that are not held to the same reporting standards as stocks listed on exchanges or on Nasdaq. They are also widely used in what are called pump and dump schemes where a group of folks buy the stock and then put out a blast of PR about the company that is usually BS in order to get other folks (like you?) to buy the stock at increasingly higher prices so they can then sell. After that, the air comes out of the stock and it's back down. I suggest you stay away from that market.
not sure but I think it means it is an over the counter stock that is not actively traded on any major US exchange, so be careful, it will be thinly traded and is probably very speculative in nature
I am not sure what the letters mean, but it means that a stock has been taken off the major exchange and placed in the bulletin board or "pink sheets". This usually happens when the stock price drops too low or the company misses accounting deadlines.
.OB refers to Off-Board. Exchange listed funds that trade over-the-counter.

Happy Investing!
Pink sheet!! You'd probably do better with a scratch-er lottery ticket.
It generally means one of two things:
1. The company is new and does not have the capital to be listed on the Nasdaq or NYSE.
2. The company was previously on the Nasdaq or NYSE and got de-listed due to capitalization requirements.

Generally speaking these stocks are under $2.00 and are much more volatile than listed stocks. Beware of the multitude of spammers out there who say, "XYZ stock plans to sign an agreement with government of China. This will make them the next AOL or Yahoo! to the Far East. The stock will go through the roof!"

Anyway, stay away from these unless you do your research.
